Underwriters were switching between several applications to perform their day-to-day roles resulting in a lack of efficiency and focus.

The first step was to work with the Head of Product to design the vision for the future of Underwriting at Convex, giving the product team a UX vision to work towards.

This leveraged the service blueprint to understand the as-is experience to identify opportunities to improve the experience, combined with strategic insight to identify behaviours we want to build in our Underwriting Teams, such as focusing more on new business development and portfolio-level thinking.

The result is an interface that much closer aligns with Underwriter ways of working and information hierarchy, reducing friction and nudging underwriters to being more strategically aligned with business goals.
